We are excited to advertise this new role to Manor Drive Medical Centre. We have two very experienced pharmacists and your job will be to support them and work alongside them. This will be an ideal opportunity for the right candidate that is enthusiastic and hardworking.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the two clinical pharmacist and provide administrative and technical support to the clinicians in relation to prescriptions and medications:
You will handle prescription requests and queries directly
Support initiatives for medicine optimisations and incentive schemes
Support medication reviews and medicine reconciliation

Manor Drive Medical Centre is a friendly GMS Practice based in Worcester Park, Surrey which is part of SWL ICB.We have a growing list of over 16000.Our surgery is purpose built and spacious with onsite parking and excellent transport links to London.
We are a great team here with a very low turnover of staff and are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join us. We offer acompetitive salary and supportcareer development.
Our team comprises of 3 GP partners, 9 salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 HCA.We have 12 admin staff which includes the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager and the Reception Manager.We also have a Physician Assistant, 2 mental health practitioners, 2 clinical pharmacists, social prescriber and a FCP.
Computer systems are Emis and Docman.Our CQC rating was good in all areas.We are part of New Malden and Worcester Park PCN a proactive PCN working closely with local practices in developing new roles and services.

The post-holder is a Pharmacy Technician and is an integral part of the general
practice team, working within their professional boundaries.
This role will work under the supervision of the Senior
Partner/Clinical Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of
prescribed medication to patients.
The Pharmacy
Technician will provide technical and administrative support to the
clinicians.
The Pharmacy
Technician will support the practice clinical teams with queries
regarding medication from patients.
The Pharmacy Technician will complete
audits regarding patient safety in the prescribing of medication and present
the information for sharing with the clinical team.
The Pharmacy Technician supports public
health and screening programmes including immunisations and vaccination
programmes whilst participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance
patient outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
