Treatment Room Nurse (Practice Nurse)
Part Time 25 hours per week
Salary -Competitive, depending on experience
Contract -Permanent
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Treatment Room Nurse (Practice Nurse) to work 25 hours a week.You
will play a key role in delivering high standard clinical care and supporting
patients in the management of long term conditions, preventative health and day to day
treatment room services. Occasional home visits may be required during flu
and covid season. This is a superb opportunity with a very highly regarded GP
Practice.
You will work closely with our GPs, Advanced Clinical
Practitioners, Pharmacy Team, HCAs and wider multidisciplinary colleagues.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Chronic
disease management within scope of competence (e.g., asthma, diabetes,
hypertension)
Compression,
wound care, dressings, suture removal and management of minor injuries
Cervical
screening
Routine
and seasonal immunisations for adults and children
Travel
health advice and vaccinations
Treatment
room duties including ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, ear irrigation,
spirometry (if trained) and general clinical support
Infection
prevention and control contribution
Supporting
QOF, enhanced services and practice audits
Providing
health education and supporting patient self management
Maintaining
accurate, high quality clinical records
Who Were Looking For
A
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Experience
in a GP practice or community nursing setting (preferred)
Confident
working independently, with a supportive and collaborative approach
Strong
communication skills and a compassionate, patient centred attitude
Organised,
proactive and adaptable in a busy general practice environment
Committed
to ongoing professional development and maintaining high clinical
standards
