Job summary

Lea Wharf Medical is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our newly formed Clinical Governance Team. This role will support medicines management, clinical governance activities, and audit processes across the practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening medication safety, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to the development of pharmacy-related roles within the team.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Governance & Medicines Management

  • Support the delivery of medicines management initiatives within the practice.
  • Conduct medicines-related audits and support quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with reviewing prescribing data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support medication safety processes and ensure compliance with relevant guidance and policies.

Audit & Quality Improvement

  • Plan, undertake, and report on medicines management and clinical governance audits.
  • Assist in monitoring and improving prescribing practices in line with national and local guidance.
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical governance processes.
