Job summary

We need an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team at Kings Road Surgery. The role is for 16 hours per week

Thursday and Fridays

Main duties of the job

All basic nursing experience needed.

Baby clinic Immunisations

Vaccinations

Wound Care and dressings

We are a practice of 3 partners and one salaried GP

Two Practice Nurses

One Practice Manager

5 Receptionists

Attached to our surgery are the Chronic conditions Nurse, Cluster Pharmacist, Midwife and Health Visitor

PART-TIME PRACTICE NURSE

We are a three partner, high achieving practice committed to delivering excellent care to just under 4000 patients.

We are looking to recruit a part time Practice Nurse.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE

GENERAL PRACTICE NURSING CARE

  • Wound dressings
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Performing ECG
  • Vaccinations (flu/travel/baby)
  • Baby Clinic (Thursdays 13:30-15:30)
  • Foreign Travel Advice
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Health Promotion
  • Taking cervical smears preferred but not essential
  • IT skills

Nursing Hours

16 hours a week

Thursday 08:30 12:30 and 13:30 17:30 (includes baby clinic)

Friday 08:30 12:30 and 13:30 17:30

Potential for flexible hours and additional hours also available to cover annual leave.

Annual Leave

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Probationary period

Six months

We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic, approachable, compassionate, organised and confident

Providing general nursing support to the GP's and Nurses at the Practice. Experience of Chronic management would be desirable.
