Job summary

An exciting opportunity for someone with senior practice management experience to join our practice management team in a full time capacity.Candidates with full Practice Management experience and those with experience of being part of a senior management team will be considered.Experience in financial management and planning would be highly valued.

Main duties of the job

Operational Management

    1. Oversee daily operations
    2. Implement & maintain administrative systems & processes
    3. Ensure the smooth running, including appointments, record keeping & information systemsTeam Leadership
      1. Lead, manage & develop a multidisciplinary team
      2. Foster a collaborative & supportive working environment
      3. Conduct regular meetings & performance reviewFinancial Oversight
        1. Manage financial operations-including budgeting, forecasting & financial planning
        2. Monitor income & expenditure, ensuring cost-effective operations

The Cedars Surgery has 6 partners and provides primary care services to approximately 11,000 patients. Based out of purpose built premises right on Deal seafront (next to the crazy golf if you know Deal). We sit directly on the seafront, in a town regularly making the tops of lists for places to live, along with day trips to France, fast train into London, and a thriving food scene. The surgery is well established and respected with excellent staff retention.

Job Purpose:

Depending on their experience the Post holder will be responsible for either leading or supporting the leadership, management and administration of the practice. The role requires a strategic leader who can ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient care. This position is pivotal in driving thepractice's success and fostering a positive working environment for all staff.

Key Responsibilities (with the assistance of the management team & partners):

  1. Operational Management:
    1. Oversee the daily operations of the practice.
    2. Implement and maintain efficient administrative systems and processes.
    3. Ensure the smooth running of allpracticeactivities, including patient appointments, record keeping, and information systems.
    4. Team Leadership:
      1. Lead, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
      2. Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment.
      3. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

        1. Manage thepractice's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
