Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Independent Nurse Prescriber to support our growing GP practice.

  • Confident in prescribing and medication management

Essential

  • Required Professional Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification (V300)
  • Advanced Clinical Practice qualification (Masters level or equivalent experience)
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and revalidation
  • Indemnity cover appropriate for extended clinical role
  • Previous experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting
  • Experience using clinical systems such as EMIS or SystmOne
  • Ability to manage minor illness clinics independently
  • Experience in chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD)

  • Desirable Criteria
  • Knowledge of local referral pathways and community services
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high demand environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience in telephone and digital consultations
  • Willingness to support service development and quality improvement
