Job summary

We are looking for an experienced GP surgery receptionistto join our friendly GP Surgery team. This role requires previous experience in a GP surgery setting, and proficiency in using EMIS Webis essential.

PLEASE NOTE :The role initially requires 18-20 hours per week,These hours may adjust in the future based on the needs of the practice.

Main duties of the job

  • We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Receptionist to join our busy GP surgery team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment bookings, patient queries, and administrative tasks.

    Main duties include:

    • Greeting patients and managing phone and face-to-face enquiries.

    • Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments using EMIS Web.

    • Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence via Docman.

    • Supporting clinicians with efficient workflow of administrative tasks.

    • Maintaining patient confidentiality and excellent customer service.

    Essential requirements:

    • Previous experience in a GP surgery or healthcare setting.

    • Competence in EMIS Web and Docman systems.

    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
