Job summary

An exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse at a friendly and forward-thinking NHS GP practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our dynamic team on a part time basis; ideally 6x4 hour sessions (3 days) a week.

Main duties of the job

To work within parameters of a Practice Nurse scope of practice.

Manage and run the vaccination program for patients including childhood vaccines, travel vaccines and lead flu campaigns.

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care including supporting the GPs.

Appointments for cervical cytology screening, Asthma Reviews, COPD and Diabetes care and management, venepuncture, Suture and staple removal, wound care management, ECGs, cryotherapy, contraception advice, urinalysis, pathology test requesting (eg. Urine culture and swabs), Assist GP with Contraceptive coil fitting, administration of prescribed injections, Doppler study and interpretation, various LTC checks and reviews.

About us

St Clements is located just outside the city centre of Oxford, the surgery is a long-established Oxford training practice with 6,000 patients.

We are a training practice and utilise various additional Clinical Roles including Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals.
