Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated team player with excellent communication and computer skills to become part of our outstanding team. Your responsibilities will include hanlding telephone enquiries, scheduling patient appointments, assisting patients in person, generating prescriptions and performing various medical reception and administrative tasks, including typing.

While familiarity with the EMIS computer system is advantageous, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidates will demonsrate flexibility in working additional or varied shifts to cover colleagues as needed. A DBS check will be required before the commencement of employment.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to work at our practice in Connah's Quay. Applicants should demonstrate competence in the following areas:

- Ability to work in a high pressured environment.

-Ability to use initiative and lateral thinking

- Mature and positive attitude to work.

- Ability to prioritise workload efficiency.

-Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong customer service skills.

- Excellent IT skills.

- Ability to multi-task.

- Being able to follow processes, procedures and respect confidentiality at all times.

- Experience is EMIS software is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will commence at the earliest opportunity working within a friendly and supportive team. Salary will be discussed at the interview as it will depend on experience.

About us

The Quay Surgery is a well-established training GP practice based in the North East area of Wales. We have 3 partners who share the same passion for training to ensure sustainability for the future of doctors in Wales.

We occupy the ground floor of a purpose-built building whom we share with a local GP practice, health visitors, midwives, school nurses, district nurses, cardiac rehab, diabetic team, phlebotomy and we are in close proximity to the local pharmacy.
