Job summary

Lightwater Surgery is looking for a motivated and compassionate GP to join us for a maternity cover position for a minimum of 6 months

Main duties of the job

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Conduct face-to-face appointments, regular check-ups, health assessments, and chronic disease management.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Lightwater Surgery is a GP practice providing care to over 15,500 patients in Surrey Heath. Led by a team of six GP Partners we are a friendly and supportive team that seeks to deliver patient-focused care. As a successful training practice we support GP trainees, Medical students and Nursing students within our surgery. We have a modern and well-facility in a semi-rural location with good motorway links (M3 and M25).

Home visits for our patients are accommodated where needed. Evening clinics are run shared on a rota system so flexibility is desired.

  • Experience using EMIS Web preferred
