Job summary

Ormskirk Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic Part Time Medical Receptionists to join our Practice.

Ideally you will have previous experience but this is not essential as we can provide training for the right candidate. The Practice uses EMIS WEB and knowledge of this would be useful. We would expect the ideal candidate to have excellent customer service skills, be well organised and efficient. We are a busy practice and experience in working in a fast paced organisation will be essential.

The role is 30 hours per week over 5 days ( Monday - Friday ) The shifts are 07.45am -13.45am or 12.30pm-6.30 pm These are on alternate weeks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.14 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Main duties of the job

The main duties will include assisting our patients at reception and via the telephone, plus administrative tasks. You will liaise with the clinical team within the Practice and external organisations such as secondary care and other healthcare agencies.

We are a family GP practice in the town center of Ormskirk. We have 2 GP partners and 4 salaried GP's, An ANP, 2 Practice Nurses and a HCA

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.

To act as the central point of contact for patients, be responsible for the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
