Job summary

Health Partners At Violet Melchett are looking to expand our friendly team of receptionist/administrators within our busy 10,000 patient GP practice. Alongside traditional GP services we offer a range of community services and activities so your job will be busy and varied. You will be based mainly at our newly refurbished premises just off the Kings Road, Chelsea SW3 but may at times be required to work in our Earls Court practice.

Main duties of the job

The role will be split between reception duties and administrative tasks including:

  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Answering telephone calls from patients
  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Dealing with queries from patients and other service providers, ie hospitals and pharmacies
  • Processing online requests from patients (Patchs)
  • Other administrative duties associated with patient care

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Confident telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn

General practice experience is preferred but all candidates meeting the essential criteria above will be considered.

About us

Health Partners at Violet Melchett is a GP Practice which is located in the Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub in Chelsea and to a satellite site in Earls Court Health and Wellbeing Hub. We are at the centre of a new and exciting integrated health and wellbeing model to serve the needs of the local community covering the south of Kensington and Chelsea.

In addition to our GP clinical services, we operate alongside a range of integrated services including community nursing and mental health services, social prescribing link workers, navigators, and volunteers. The services are delivered in partnership with many different providers of healthcare, including the local NHS community health trust, the NHS mental health trust, General Practice, local authority services, and services and activities provided by the third sector and local communities. In addition the Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub offers flexible space for local people, community groups and the voluntary sector.
