Job summary
Due to internal staff progression Walker Medical Group are looking for an experienced registered practice nurse to join our well established nursing team. Experience in Primary Care is Essential.
Main duties of the job
The Post holder will be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services to 11,000 patients. Supported by the lead nurse practitioner, they will deliver care focusing on supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring and management of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities that may include cervical screening, baby immunisations and travel health.
They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
Experience in infection control although not essential would be desirable.

We are situated in a purpose built building in the East End of Newcastle.We have varied demographics which make life interesting, no two days are the same. We have good staff retention. We currently have four partners, six salaried GPs, three nurse practitioners, four practice nurses and three healthcare assistants. We have a "patient first" ethos, and an active staff social group.
