Job summary
We
are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and preferably experienced
receptionist to join our existing team.
Applicants must be able to provide a caring, professional and efficient
service to our patients.
Hours of duty 24 per week:
Wednesday
8am - 1pm
Thursday 8am-1pm & 2pm-6.30pm
Friday 8am 1pm & 2pm-6.30pm
Applicants
must be flexible as it is a condition of employment that additional hours are
worked during periods of annual leave or sickness. There will also be a requirement to work
occasional evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job
A medical receptionist in a GP surgery is the first point of contact for patients. They manage appointments, handle phone and in-person enquiries, update patient records, and pass messages to clinical staff. They also support the smooth running of the practice by dealing with prescriptions, referrals, and administrative tasks, while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
