We are a caring and popular practice of just over 7000 patients located in a modern, purpose-built health centre in Winsford.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
Main duties will be the usual duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, including surgery and telephone consultations, occasional visits, making referrals as needed, dealing with queries, signing prescriptions, and reviewing and actioning patient test results and correspondence. We actively encourage and support special interests.
Job responsibilities
- Complying with all legislation applicable to practising medicine
- Conducting physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients
- Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients
- Making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients quality of life
- Prescribing medication, treatment or therapy to patients
- Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- GMC Registered, not subject to suspension;
- Qualified General Practitioner;
- Currently on a CCG performer list
- Clear enhanced DBS check
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in UK General Practice
- Experience of working with vulnerable groups.
Desirable
- Delivery of clinical audit
- QOF management
- Experience using EMIS Web and Docman

Overview of your organisation
The successful applicant will work closely with three doctors, two GPAs, two practice nurses and our dedicated non-clinical team. They will also work alongside physiotherapists, dieticians, pharmacists and our Social Prescribers, all supported by our excellent management team, who like us are committed to a healthy work-life balance.
