Job summary

Peaseway Medical Centre are looking for an enthusiastic, methodical thinking, motivated person to join join their busy, and fast paced administration team.

Previous experience of working in a GP surgery, excellent customer service skills and I.T knowledge (systmone) is desirable.

Must have the ability to manage workloads and development own training requirements.

Main duties of the job

  • To deal with all patients requests via telephone, tasks and face to face at reception, calmly and effectively.
  • Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from visitors in a professional manner.
  • Book appointments by ensuring sufficient information is recorded to assist consultations.
  • Action tasks assigned by clinicians and relay relevant information as instructed.
  • An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense, to work well within the admin team.
  • Give assistance to the clinical team if requested.
  • Excellent I.T and communication skills.
  • Adhere to the practice polices and protocols in acordance to the role.

About us

We are a GP and medical student Training Practice of 12,218 patients in Newton Aycliffe with a staff of 45 clinical and administrative employees led by two GP partners, a Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager. We require a friendly, empathic and approachable individual who will help us continue to deliver high quality compassionate care to our patients whilst maintaining a positive atmosphere for our capable and respected staff.

Admin Supervisor

HOURS: flexible - up to full time

Job Summary:

  • To answer the demands of the telephones, confidently and politely.
  • To deal with all patients requests via telephone, tasks and at reception, calmly and effectively.
