Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated salaried GP to join our team at Church Road Surgery where we provide primary care services to over 11,000 patients. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced GP, joining our friendly and supportive team will provide opportunities for ongoing career development to enhance skills or areas of interest.
We are looking for one or two candidates who can work 4 to 9 sessions and enjoy working autonomously as well as part of a diverse clinical and non-clinical team.

Your day to day work may involve clinics, administrative work, triage, on-call, care of the elderly, supervision and training, CPD, audits etc... This is all negotiable and flexible to individual preferences.

- To assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients/service users with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions.
- To use clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment and care.
- To undertake daily tasks such as results, letters, reports, repeat prescribing, medication review etc.
- To maintain high clinical standards by using clinical governance audits and other information to review patients results, prescribing, disease etc.
- To participate in training and development of nurses, medical students, GP Registrars and other AHPs in the Practice.
- To support the staff and respond to requests for advice and assistance from the reception, secretarial and nursing staff.
- To manage a case load, lead on agreed clinical targets and service developments.
- To engage in appropriate educational activity in order to maintain clinical competence and performance, including the completion of objectives agreed by yourself and the Practice in an annual Personal Development Plan.
