Job summary

Job Purpose:

The Treatment Room Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a treatment room setting, supporting the delivery of patient-centred services at The Newman Practice. The role involves working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the effective management of patient care.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and provide treatment room services, including wound care, dressings, and minor procedures.
  • Administer vaccinations, injections, and other medications as required.
  • Support chronic disease management by monitoring and reviewing patients with long-term conditions.
  • Assist in the management of treatment room stock and supplies, ensuring availability and proper storage.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide health education and advice to patients, promoting healthy lifestyles and self-care.
  • Collaborate with GPs, the lead nurse, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring compliance with national safety standards.
