Fleggburgh Surgery is a small rural dispensing surgery providing healthcare to around 2000 patients. The staff are highly appreciated by our patients who consistently rate the surgery as one of the best in Norfolk & Waveney.

Main duties of the job

Your days will run from 08:30-18:00, appointments are 15 minutes in length with a maximum of 24 appointments per day. You may often be the only GP in the surgery, and therefore responsible for all patient administration on the day - including pathology, letters and tasks. We do however have a PCN Pharmacy Team who support with a large volume of our documents, and a Practice Pharmacist, ANP, Nurse, Physio and Mental Health Practitioners. We are a teaching Practice, supporting GP Resident Doctors.

Our patient population is elderly, however we do not have any care homes and home visits are very infrequent, limited mainly to palliative care visits.

We use SystmOne and have recently undergone a huge digital transformation at the Surgery, supporting our patients with this move.

About us

Fleggburgh Surgery is a small team, and we work closely together. It is important that you are keen to get to know your colleagues in Reception, Dispensary and Nursing and want to work as part of a team. The Practice is led by a GP Partner, Managing Partner and Practice Manager - who are enthusiastic about ensuring staff enjoy coming to work, and feel valued - including bonuses, Christmas/Easter gifts, social outings and frequent snacks and treats!
