Job summary

Arrival Medical Practice are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, patient focused practice team.

Previous experience in minor illness and triage in a primary care health experience is essential. You must be able to demonstrate safe, clinical decision making for patients acting within professional boundaries.

Applicants must have completed their non-medical prescribing and be confident working autonomously in primary care, as well as under the guidance of our GPs.

The post holder will be an experienced NP who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.

They will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and provide leadership as required.

*There may be some cross site working required with Riverside Medical Practice*

You will be joining a team of Two GP Partners, WTE 2.5 Advanced Nurse Practitioners providing acute appointments, Practice Pharmacist, three Practice Nurses, a Health Care Assistant and two Trainee Nurse Associates.

Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly by telephone triage or face to face consultations.

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs. Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate)
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug- and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan.
