Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist / Admin Clerk & Prescription Clerk to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting both clinical and administrative functions within the practice.
Main duties of the job
- Welcoming patients and managing frontdesk enquiries
- Answering telephone calls and signposting patients appropriately
- Booking, amending, and managing appointments
- Processing repeat prescription requests accurately and in line with practice protocols
- Handling administrative tasks including emails, scanning, coding, and filing
- Supporting clinicians with administrative duties as required
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to practice policies
- Using clinical systems - Emis
