Job summary

Applicant to be caring & compassionate GP to work within a vibrant community. close to all amenities such as schools, hospitals, shops, etc. Good transport services to and from Bury or Manchester city Centre either by bus or tram. close to motorway & plenty of free parking available.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will support the senior partner & other GP's in providing primary medical services, manage a caseload of patients and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients. This will include any administration associated with these patients, eg repeat prescribing, actioning results, letters and completion of insurance/medical reports.

we are a practice of 5125 patients in Prestwich Manchester, we have 3 GP's, 2 of which are salaried. we have 2 nurses, 2 HCSW, phlebotomist & pharmacist. we are a very friendly team and have good repour with our patients, we were voted best practice in 2023.

Job responsibilities

In accordance with the practice timetable,the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including:

Surgery consultations

Telephone consultations and queries

Visiting patients at home

checking, re-authorising and signing repeat prescriptions

Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions

Prescribing in accordance with locally agreed or national guidlines

Dealing with queries

Patient test results

Management of referral (NHS/private)

Management of paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner
