Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive registered Nurse to join our team and to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within our busy GP surgery.
Working in accordance with the UKCC Code of Conduct, the post-holder will support and develop the Practice nursing team in the provision of assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients.
The post-holder will agree protocols and guidelines to provide nursing treatments to patients both independently and in participation with nurse colleagues and general practitioners.
The post-holder will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available. A nurse with prescribing qualifications will use them appropriately.

Providing an excellent patient service and patient relationship skills, excellent communication skills, a confident manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential attributes of any applicants.

About us
We are a forward thinking and dynamic practice circa 13,000
patients. We use EMIS web and Docman, and are always looking at ways to do
things better and more efficiently!
We have 2 GP partners, 1 Managing Business Partner 1 Practice Nurse, 2
Healthcare Assistants and a range of PCN staff who regularly attend practice.
The clinical team is supported by a Practice Manager, a Deputy Practice Manager
and a dedicated Information / Computer Team.
We're a training practice and have medical students and GP
trainees onsite.

- Assist with the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based practice to improve the services offered by the Practice nursing team.
- Assist with management of Chronic Diseases, wound care, health screening, travel health, health screening, immunisations (Adult and Child), Cytology.
- Stock maintenance and ordering.
