Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join our team at Mayfair Medical Centre. As a growing practice, we are looking for a GP to support the on-call GP four mornings per week (MondayThursday, 9:0013:00).

Please note that this specific pattern of four consecutive weekday mornings is essential for our service needs and is therefore not negotiable.

The role will initially be offered on a locum basis, with the possibility of progressing to a long-term locum arrangement or a salaried position. We offer a supportive, friendly team environment and a patient-centred approach, serving a diverse local community in the West End.

Main duties of the job

Our practice operates a telephone-first service, with patients offered same-day face-to-face appointments where clinically indicated. In this role, you will work alongside and support the on-call GP.

A typical morning session includes:

  • 15 patient consultations across a 3-hour clinic (9:0012:00)

  • Approximately 10 telephone consultations and 5 face-to-face appointments

  • Delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based clinical care as part of the daily duty workflow

  • 1 full-time GP and 2 part-time GPs

  • Practice Manager

  • Physiotherapist and practice nurse running weekly clinics
