An exciting opportunity has arisen within Musters Medical
Practice for a highly motivated and committed General Practitioner to join our
friendly and forward-thinking practice.
Main duties of the job
We currently have 9,600 patients. The role will be in addition to our fantastic team consisting of 2 GP partners, 5 salaried GP's, nursing team and a clinical pharmacist.
The candidate will be registered with the GMC have experience working in a GP surgery. They will be patient centred to match with our ethos and be a good communicator. Musters Medical Practice works closely with the Rushcliffe PCN supporting the extended hours service and being involved in several of the PCN projects which support the care of patients throughout Rushcliffe.
We are seeking 4 sessions salaried GP on Tuesday and Wednesday and are offering flexible working with a competitive salary from £9,675 to £10,557 per session to start in July 2025.

range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards
of care for all registered and temporary patients.

In accordance with the practice timetable, as
agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety
of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries,
visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and
dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion

Making professional, autonomous decisions in
relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other
health care workers within the organisation

Assessing the health care needs of patients
with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems

Screening patients for disease risk factors and
early signs of illness

In consultation with patients and in line with
current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health

Providing counselling and health education

Admitting or discharging patients to and from
the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate

Recording clear and contemporaneous
consultation notes to agreed standards

Collecting data for audit purposes

Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute
and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever
possible)

Prescribing in accordance with the practice
prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
