**Fixed Term 12 Months*** Maternity Cover for 4-6 Sessions
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Musters Medical
Practice for a highly motivated and committed General Practitioner to join our
friendly and forward-thinking practice to cover maternity leave for 12 months
commencing from the start of March 2025.
We are seeking 4-6 sessions salaried GP and are offering
flexible working with a salary of £10,557 per session and a start date on 3rd
March 2025. The working days include Thursday and Fridays
We currently have 9,800 patients. The role will be in
addition to our fantastic team consisting of 2 GP partners, 5 salaried GP's,
nurses, and 2 clinical pharmacists.
The candidate will be registered with the GMC have experience
working in a GP surgery. They will be patient centred to match with our ethos
and be a good communicator. Musters Medical Practice works closely with the
Rushcliffe PCN supporting the extended hours service and being involved in
several of the PCN projects which support the care of patients throughout
Rushcliffe.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal
with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the
highest standards of care for all patients.

of care for all registered and temporary patients.

In accordance with the practice timetable, as
agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety
of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries,
visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and
dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion

Making professional, autonomous decisions in
relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other
health care workers within the organisation

Assessing the health care needs of patients
with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems

Screening patients for disease risk factors and
early signs of illness

In consultation with patients and in line with
current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health

Providing counselling and health education
-
Admitting or discharging patients to and from
the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate

Recording clear and contemporaneous
consultation notes to agreed standards

Collecting data for audit purposes

Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute
and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever
possible)

Prescribing in accordance with the practice
prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate

In general the post-holder will be expected to
undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP
working within primary care.
