We have 2 x phlebotomist vacancies:

1. Saturdays 9am to 17:00

2. Wednesdays 18:30 to 21:30

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated HCA/Nurse to work alongside our phlebotomy team to provide exceptional support to our patients. This role involves taking bloods from patients.

Applicants should be comfortable using IT devices and have a good command of English to facilitate effective communication with patients and team members.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform blood tests (phlebotomy)independently, safely and competently, following clinical guidelines and safeguarding procedures
  • Prepare patients for blood tests, providing reassurance and age-appropriate communication
  • Accurately label, handle, and transport blood samples in line with laboratory protocols
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions (e.g. fainting, distress) and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards
  • Record clinical information accurately in electronic patient records
  • Provide administrative support within the clinic
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Support smooth day-to-day running of the service
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Comply with CQC standards, local policies, and health & safety regulations
