Job summary
The PCN Services Support Assistant will play a key
supporting role in the delivery of services across the Primary Care Network
(PCN). Working closely with the PCN Services Director and wider operational
team, the postholder will assist with day-to-day coordination of services,
administrative tasks, stakeholder communication, and data reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience
in primary care or healthcare administration to grow within a dynamic and
service-oriented environment.
We will consider applicants seeking either 30 hours or 37.5 hours per week. Salary will be paid pro rata for part time hours.
You will be working from The Cedars Surgery and/or ST Marks Hospital in Maidenhead, with some opportunity to work remotely.

Main duties of the job
Service Delivery Support
- Support the coordination of PCN services such as dermatology, obesity management, and health checks
- Assist in scheduling, documentation, and service delivery logistics
- Help ensure services run smoothly and meet agreed standards
- Maintain up-to-date service information and documentation

- Assist in the implementation of operational systems and processes
- Support data collection and reporting on service activity and performance
- Help maintain compliance documentation (e.g. CQC, governance frameworks)
- Provide administrative support to meetings (agenda setting, minutes, follow-up)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support communication with partner practices, ICBs, and service users
- Assist in organising stakeholder meetings and service reviews
- Help respond to routine queries and information requests
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the PCN Services Director and PCN Manager
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff across practices
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on service improvement and collaboration
Essential Key Skills & Experience
- Previous administrative or coordination experience in a healthcare or primary care setting
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in working with spreadsheets and data entry
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An interest in service improvement within the NHS or healthcare environment
Desirable
- Familiarity with NHS systems (e.g. EMIS WEB)
- Experience supporting projects or service initiatives
- Understanding of the structure and function of Primary Care Networks
