Job summary
Maidenhead Primary Care Network, is a group of 9 GP
Practices working together with a range of local providers to offer more
personalised and coordinated health and social care to the 70000 patient
population of Maidenhead in Berkshire.
We are looking to recruit to the post of Administrator and Personal Assistant,
to work within our Primary Care Network multidisciplinary healthcare team.
As an Administrator and PA you are
responsible for supporting the PCN Clinical Director, Manager and the Management Team
for providing an efficient secretarial and administrative support service. You
will work across all PCN practices. You will also be expected to have knowledge
of the use of clinical systems used by all the PCN practices. The role involves
providing a full range of PA functions, including diary management, dealing
with correspondence, general administrative duties, and organising meetings
with multiple stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational and
communication skills, and the ability to work independently to plan and
prioritise your own workload. You will be a team player who can build effective
working relationships with member practices and with our partner organisations.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an
experienced administrator/ PA with previous primary care/NHS experience.
The role is key to coordinating the day-to-day work of the Primary Care Network.
You will work
closely with the relevant teams in the PCN team to
support network implementation and the standardisation of agreed service
changes, contracts, policies, pathways and quality improvement.
You will frequently liaise with a range of staff internally across the PCN.
Previous PA/ administration experience is essential as well as good verbal and written communication skills and experience of working in a health care setting.

b. Work with the practices in the PCN teams to monitor progress against specified QoF/IIF targets and ensure all work streams are maximised effectively. Monitoring service delivery and supporting data collection and audit.
c. Support the coordination and delivery of multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) within the practice and PCN, arranging and planning and recording team meetings. Producing reports information, newsletters and publications as requested to ensure that all stakeholders are kept up to date with the work of the team.
Support the PCN on priority programmes as required and other work designed to support the member practices and their patients.
This post may entail some patients communication as required to support access, the services and support they require to understand and manage their own
health and wellbeing, referring to social prescribing link workers, health and
wellbeing coaches, and other professionals where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be based in a local cluster of
General Practices as part of the Primary Care Network (PCN). They will be
caring, dedicated, reliable and person-focussed and enjoy working with a wide
range of people. They will have good written and verbal communication skills
and strong organisational and time management skills. They will be highly
motivated and proactive with a flexible attitude, keen to work and learn as
part of a team and committed to providing people, their families and carers
with high quality support.
This role is intended to become an integral part of the
PCNs multidisciplinary team, working alongside the MDT to provide an all-encompassing approach to
personalised care and promoting and embedding the personalised care approach
across the PCN.
There may be a need to work remotely depending on the
requirements of the role.
