We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team for a part-time position, requiring 3 to 4 days per week. Our Harpenden location is conveniently situated within walking distance of the town centre and train station, our branch surgery is in the centre of Wheathampstead with on-site parking available at both sites. As a member of our nursing team, you will work alongside 3 General Practice Nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistants.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to include performing cervical screenings, administer a comprehensive range of immunisations, including childhood vaccinations, providing wound care (including Level 1 leg ulcers), and fulfilling the complete spectrum of treatment room duties. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing long-term conditions and developing treatment care plans. A detailed job description is available upon request.

About us

The Village Surgery is comprised of 8 partners and a dedicated nursing team, supported by a hardworking and friendly administrative staff. We are a training practice and frequently host medical students and GP trainees. As part of the Harpenden Health Primary Care Network (PCN), we work collaboratively with other local practices and offer Extended Hours. Our PCN team includes Paramedics, Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, and Social Prescribers to deliver exceptional patient care.
