This is an exciting opportunity to

We are looking for a part time Dispenser (circa 20 hours per week) to join our team in the Abbeyview Surgery.
The position offers 6 weeks holiday, pro rata, together with Bank Holidays and inclusion in NHS pension scheme.
Main duties of the job
To provide accurate and efficient dispensing of
prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures. Dispensing and labelling
prescriptions accurately, safely and in a timely fashion. Maintaining accurate
manual and computer records.
Communicating with other members of the pharmacy team, customers and patients
to solve problems and ensure high standards of service.
Supporting optimal stock management including date checking.
2. To effectively handle prescriptions and associated
interactions with patients, ensuring a positive and professional user
experience, by:
Communicating with and assisting patients, their representatives face to face,
over the telephone or by electronic methods in a polite and efficient manner. Working within the limits
of knowledge, skills and responsibilities and making appropriate referrals to
other members of the dispensary team in accordance with standard operating
procedures.
Receiving prescription from patients, their representatives and Practice staff
and obtaining information to enable the dispensing team to safely prepare the
medicines.
Taking payments in cash and electronically and confirming entitlement to
exemption.
Handing out dispensed medicines and providing appropriate counselling to
patients or their representative about their medicines within the limits of
knowledge and competency.
Maintaining accurate records of transactions and filing prescriptions.

part dispensing Practice serving circa 9100 patients in Crowland, Lincolnshire.
