Job summary
The successful candidate will provide the full range of core primary care services, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Undertaking home visits (low volume)
- Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, and results
- Reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions
- Maintaining accurate, clear, and contemporaneous clinical records
- Making autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions
- Contributing to clinical governance and service development
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will deliver the full range of core primary care services, including face-to-face and telephone consultations, management of acute and chronic conditions, and low-volume home visits. They will be responsible for reviewing results, prescriptions, referrals, and clinical correspondence, maintaining accurate and timely medical records, and making autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions. The role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care and contributing to clinical governance and service development as appropriate.

- Satisfactory completion GP VTS training
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Has Indemnity cover
- Experience and understanding of NHS primary care
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical governance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and continuing professional development
- Satisfactory DBS check
