Job summary
Eden Surgery is a small, friendly Practice providing
high-quality, patient-focused care to 4,850 patients in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
We are looking to recruit an experienced & highly
motivated Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly Practice team for 22
hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have the energy and enthusiasm
to work within our Practice team and will project a positive and friendly image
to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Experience
within a General Practice environment is preferred but not essential. The
successful applicant will be computer literate and be confident using a variety
of different systems.
You will be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational
skills, being able to work as part of a team but also using your initiative
when required to do so.
Main duties of the job
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
- Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Taking messages and securely passing on information
- Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures. Input and extract information from Practice computer system (TPP SystmOne).
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers
