Job summary

Applicants must be IT literate, understand Docman 10, eRS and EMIS system, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be flexible, possesses a can do attitude and be a team player.

In addition, the post-holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice

This is a part time position of 25 - 30 hours, working during our core opening hours Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

  • Processing referrals using electronic referral system (ERS)
  • Inputting data into the patient's healthcare records as necessary
  • Processing medical reports for insurance companies

  • Supporting clinicians/Practice Manager with general administrative tasks as requested.

  • 1. Previous experience in a GP Surgery.
  • 2. EMIS, ERS & Docman experience.
  • 3.Education to GCSE (or equivalent) including English language & Math.
  • 4. Ability to be discrete and maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • 5. Excellent telephone manner.
  • 6. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • 7. Accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • 8. A calm, pleasant and reassuring personality.
  • 9. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • 10. Ability to be flexible regarding hours/tasks.
