We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Administrator & Clinical Coder to join our busy and friendly practice team. This is an important role supporting the smooth running of the practice by ensuring accurate clinical coding of patient information and providing essential administrative cover.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Coding (training will be provided)
- Accurately read, interpret, and clinically code patient information into the clinical system.
- Code information from a variety of sources, including:
o Hospital discharge summaries
o Outpatient clinic letters
o A&E attendances
o Blood pressure readings and clinical measurements
o Investigation results and reports
- Ensure all coding is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain data quality and adhere to practice coding protocols.
- Identify and escalate any clinical queries or discrepancies appropriately. (This list is not exhaustive.)
Administrative Duties
- Provide cover for the telephone results line, communicating test results to patients in line with practice protocols.
- Workflow within the clinical system
- Supporting recall systems
- Scan, file, and accurately attach incoming documents to patient records.
- Handling patient queries where appropriate
- Provide administrative support to cover staff sickness or absence.
- Support general practice administrative tasks as required.
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information.
- Answering incoming calls, transferring calls, responding to patients.
- Support all staff with queries and general administrative tasks.
