Job summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our dedicated team at Gresleydale Healthcare Centre. This opportunity has arisen in response to the growth in our patient list, ensuring that our expanding patient community continues to receive high-quality care. The successful candidate will be fully supported by our established and welcoming nursing team and Nurse Partner.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multi-professional environment. You will collaborate closely with General Practitioners (GPs), Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), and Clinical Pharmacists, all of whom are committed to delivering outstanding patient care. Our team values inclusivity, supportiveness, and a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery working collaboratively with Swadlincote Primary care network.

As a recognised training practice, we are deeply committed to fostering professional development and continuous learning. We are looking for a candidate with strong clinical skills, proficiency in IT, and excellent interpersonal abilities. The successful applicant should be enthusiastic about further developing their skills in response to the needs of the practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of general treatment room nursing services to our growing practice population. Supported by our Lead nurse within the practice, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role and undertake general treatment room services, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the deliveryof policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
