Annfield Plain Surgery is a small, friendly and enthusiastic General Practice.

We are looking for a part time medical receptionist to join our friendly experienced team. The position is offering 26 hours per week, working between Monday and Friday each week. We are looking for a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic individual with good IT skills who is able to demonstrate excellent customer care. Previous experience of working in general practice is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.

To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

About us

We are a small Practice with approximately 4000 patients. We have 2 GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Practice Nurse and 1 Nurse Associate. We also have various attached PCN staff such physios/pharmacists and social prescribers based at the practice. All of these roles are supported by our Administration/secretarial and reception team who play a vital part in the day to day running of the practice.
