We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed GP who would like to join our team of 3 GP Partners and 2 Salaried GPs.
We require two of the 4 sessions to be on a Friday and have flexibility on the other days the remaining sessions are worked.

About us
Emperors Gate Surgery is a friendly and forward-thinking GP practice with a list size of 6,700 patients located in the heart of Kensington.
We are a training practice and part of a successful PCN (Brompton Health PCN). Our Clinical team is supported by Pharmacists, Neighbourhood Navigators, Case Managers for frailty and a good community mental health support.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all our patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
- In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations: acute and non-acute, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription queries. Processing clinical correspondence, read coding scanned in letters compliant with the practice policy in a time appropriate fashion.
- On-call duties (morning or/and afternoon sessions) each week
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Carry out mother/ baby post natal checks.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Collecting data for audit purposes
- QOF related searches, audits and data collection if needed
- Assist where requested with Enhanced Service areas that the practice has signed up to as part of the GMS contract.
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary and in line with guidance from our local prescribing authority.
- Completing insurance reports and medicals where necessary.
- In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Other Responsibilities within the Organisation
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, eg prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
- Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
- Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records
- Contributing to the summarising of patient records and Read-Coding patient data
- Be involved in supervising medical students if deemed appropriate
