Catherine House Surgery is seeking to recruit a Paramedic.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our small and friendly team to develop and evolve this new role to support our clinicians; dealing with minor ailments and home visits etc.
Main duties of the job
- Assessing and deciding treatment plan for minor illnesses e.g. respiratory tract infection, ENT symptoms, UTIs.
- Providing a triage service actively managing, treating
patients within own scope of practice, or referring patients according to
practice and local guidelines.
- Providing support for practical procedures e.g. ECGs
- Requesting pathology services as necessary including
processing and interpreting results as required
- Maintaining accurate clinical records on SystmOne
- Supporting the team in managing clinical emergencies.
About us
Catherine House Surgery is situated in the town of Totnes. We care for approx. 5,000 patients from
Totnes and the surrounding area.
We are part of the South Dartmoor and Totnes PCN.
We have five GPs, one registrar, and usually two foundation
year 2 Doctors, two nurses, and one HCA. We are a teaching practice accommodating year
5 medical students and physician associate students.
We aim to provide friendly, personalised, effective and high-quality General Practice Services, committed to the health needs for our patients.
