Job summary
We are a GP Practice with just over 6000 patients. We pride ourselves on being a small practice who know our patients well
We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly Practice Manager to join our well-established practice

Main duties of the job
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and running of the surgery
- Building: responsibility for the security repairs, insurance and maintenance of the premises, services and equipment.
- Handling patients enquires, complaints/compliments and overseeing the complaints procedure
- Liaise with our PPG : Coordinate patient participation meetings, with the aim of maintaining and improving a quality service with our patient's input.
- Staff Appraisals (non-clinical)
- Payroll submission to Accountant system
- On line pensions
- Book Keeping
- HR management and recruitment ensuring quality standards and CQC compliance
- Maintaining high scores for QOF and enhanced services work
- Managing the Telephone systems
- Assisting Accountants, where necessary, with regard to end of year accounts
- Managing staff (annual leave/sick) via Clarity Team Net system
- Organise and oversee staff induction and training, and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role
- Organise GP Locums as and when in accordance with Locum Procedures
- Support and mentor staff, both as individuals and as team members Support the PCN for the practice to deliver the targets/projects.
- Attend our PCN/ Federation meetings
- Manage Portals -Primary Care Workforce Portal/CQRS jointly with Partners/National Health Service Spine
- Update Patient information Posters/leaflets/website & health education materials.

Our team
- Our practice is dynamic and evolving it was single-handed for several years before becoming a three partner practice in 2020.
- The three partners are two GPs and 1 ANP. We are friendly, approachable and supportive
- We have two other part-time salaried GPs, a GP retainer, a GP Trainee, Practice Nurse, a Physician Associate, a part-time Pharmacist and a Health Care Assistant.
