Job summary
We are currently looking to
appoint an experienced part-time practice nurse for 25 hrs per week, to
join our other two practice nurses and work alongside our friendly, highly
motivated, forward thinking practice team, who pride themselves in training our
staff well.
We are part of Erewash Health
Partnership which, in itself brings a wealth of support and possibilities,
enabling our staff to work alongside staff from the other 6 member practices.
We are high achieving in QOF and
have Good CQC rating.
At Gladstone we have a tight knit team, who
pride themselves on working well together, with a strong work ethic and a team
who provide mentoring and support on an on-going basis.
This team includes 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried
GPs, 1 x ACP, 2 Nurses and a supportive admin and cleaning team.We
are also supported by our PCN and CCG pharmacists, midwife and care
co-ordinators.
We pride ourselves on being a patient focused
practice.
We also train Yr 1 & 2 medical students,
along with student nurses and work experience school leavers.

Main duties of the job
Some of the wide
range of duties involved will include COPD/Asthma/Diabetes/Minor
illnesses/Immunisations/Travel Advice/Cervical Smears/Learning Disabilities and Spirometry.
The role will involve patient contact both F2F and on the telephone.This is a varied role and would include visiting patients in their own homes/care homes along with undertaking duties in cytology, chronic disease management, wound care, ear irrigation
