Job summary
We are a friendly, caring practice who are part of Erewash
Health Partnership, which includes 6 other surgeries within the Ilkeston and
Long Eaton areas who we also work closely with.
Your role will be based at Gladstone House Surgery in Ilkeston.
We are now looking to recruit another receptionist to
compliment the 5 we already have for between 25-30 hrs per week.
Main duties of the job
Previous General Practice experience and an understanding of
the NHS is preferable but not essential as full training can be given. Experience in patient management, care
navigator skills, being able to handle extremely high volumes of telephone
calls, patient records, front desk reception work involving F2F contact with
patients, excellent admin skills and a knowledge of S1 and AccuRx is preferable,
however full training can be given. There are also opportunities to diversify
within the surgery.
The hours of work will be on a shift basis and the
successful candidates will be expected to work their shifts during the full range
of surgery hours between 07:30-18:45. These hours will be split fairly each
week between all the receptionists and cover early, mid and late shift patterns.
Shifts are Monday to Friday each week.
Extra hours will also be available to cover annual leave and sickness,
if necessary, for which overtime or lieu time is given. Reception shift rotas are created a month in
advance so you will know what your shift patterns are, although staff have to
be prepared every now and then for minor shift changes if sickness occurs.
Salary dependent on experience.

Gladstone has a list size of approx. 5,000 patients, with 2 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 Practice Manager, 1 ANP, 3 Nurses, 1 HCA, 1 Phlebotomist, along with an Admin team which includes 2 Secretaries, 1 Admin Assistant, 1 Receptionist Lead and a 5 Receptionists, a reception apprentice, 1 Caretaker and 2 Cleaners.
