Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, we are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking full-time Operational Manager at our busy, but friendly GP practice. This is a key management post, responsible for leading on all day to day aspects of running the practice on behalf of the Practice Manager and GP Partners.
The Operational Manager provides essential support to the Practice Manager and deputises for her during absences. The post-holder has line management responsibility for the data/administration team and works closely with the Reception Manager.
Primary care experience, including supervisory/line management experience is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a positive approach are key to this role. Excellent IT skills, including experience of SystmOne and associated software and systems are also highly desirable.

Main duties of the job
- Day-to-day operational management of the practice, including clinical cover and payroll.
- To lead on all IT related matters within the practice, ensuring integrity of the clinical data base and accurate reporting.
- To provide support and practical assistance to the Practice Manager across a wide range of duties; to deputise as necessary.
