Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
part-time first contact physiotherapist practitioner to
join our forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team and
support PCCO Primary Care Network.
We have a well-developed MSK
team, comprised of three GPs with a
specialist interest in MSK
and three senior physiotherapists. The post holder
will manage a complex caseload of patients, working independently
to assess, diagnose and manage patient's musculoskeletal problems.
This physiotherapist will be given the opportunity to become
an advanced practitioner using their own special interests and having the
agency to work at a higher level through bands 6, 7 and potentially 8a
while maintaining practical elements of the job, a clinical case load
and being hands on in group work.
At PCCO PCN, you will be given the agency to work as an
independent professional, working with the PCN management
team to analyse both qualitative and quantitative data
to identify areas of need within our population and formulate plans
and projects to create support pathways for these patients.You will also
receive referrals from other PCN and practice members to provide 1-2-1 support
to patients who require a MSK assessment.
You will have access to clinical supervision from one of our Clinical Directors and support from the rest of our PCN and practice teams. You will work closely with GPs, community services, the city MSK service, EMAS, Social Care, Practice staff and wider MDTs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be given the autonomy to specialise
in specific health conditions in line with population health analysis and
work with the wider MDT for conditions such as chronic pain.
If you have a specialism, such as chronic pain, chronic back pain or in tackling health inequalities, this will be considered as an advantage, and we would love to hear about what you believe you could personally bring to our PCN.
