Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated Administrator with previous experience to join our friendly and welcoming team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality administration support within our medical practice.

An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality of both patient records and business activities of the partnership.

Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and practice policy and Procedures.

Main duties of the job

Process clinical correspondence attaching to the patient record and accurately coding diagnoses, procedure and investigations as per the practice protocols.

Pass appropriate issues to GP's and other members of the clinical team

To manage the patient register for chronic conditions, inviting patients for follow up review.

To provide administrative support to the Administration Manager and clinicians with regards to accurate data collection for clinical reporting and performance achievements (eg QOF, Enhanced Services and any other initiatives)

In addition, the post holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the Practice

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths

Desirable

  • Qualified in Clinical coding

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in General Practice
  • Strong knowledge of EMIS and clinical coding
  • Understanding of GP contractual requirements (i.e QOF, LES/DES)
  • Excellent IT skills
