  We are looking for an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team.We are trying to meet an increased demand and also to provide flexibility with our existing staff for holidays and time off.

Pharmacy technicians core role responsibilities will cover clinical, technical and administrative categories.
Duties and Responsilitiess
Clinical
a) Deliver patient-facing and supporting roles to ensure safe, effective medicines use through shared decision-making.
b) Undertake medicines optimisation tasks such as checking inhaler technique, supporting medication reviews and reconciliation, and using consultation skills to help patients use medicines effectively.
c) Support reviews and reconciliation for new care home patients, synchronise medicines during care transfers, liaise with community pharmacists, and refer to pharmacists for structured reviews.
d) Provide specialist expertise (where competent) on public health and social care needs, including lifestyle advice, service information, and tackling health inequalities.
e) Contribute to shared care protocols and liaise with specialist pharmacists for complex cases.
f) Support antimicrobial stewardship to reduce inappropriate prescribing.
Technical & Administrative
a) Work with the PCN multi-disciplinary team to deliver efficient medicines optimisation, ordering, returns, and waste reduction.
b) Provide training on safe, legal handling of medicines and support EPS implementation.
c) Build relationships with pharmacy teams and wider healthcare colleagues to support integration across care settings.
d) Supervise reception teams in sorting prescription requests, allowing GPs and pharmacists to focus on complex cases.

systems across PCNs, supporting practices with a range of services to get the

- - BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.
- - Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy

- - Postgraduate qualifications of a relevant nature eg FdSc in 
-   Medicines Management/Pharmacy Services; BTEC Therapeutics.
