Peer support is an essential component of enjoyable primary care. We will make you feel valued as part of our team from the start. We have weekly practice meetings as a peer group and encourage breaks as a team.

All our training opportunities will be available to you. We want you to enjoy primary care as much as we do!

If youre looking to work within a kind and welcoming team that values quality primary care then this is the role for you!

Main duties of the job

The role involves all the reasonable duties of a GP in our surgery - surgeries, home visits, duty doctor and other typical day to day GP tasks.

We run a standard appointment system with a mixture of pre-bookable and on the day appointments in each surgery. Our clinical system is Systm1.

Patients can choose appointment type and we offer a full range of remote and online consultation methods.

On-call duty involves triaging visit requests and any remaining on the day requests without an appointment.

The on-call is split into either a morning or afternoon session and you will run this in parallel to your surgery.

We run a flexible usual GP system. Patients can choose who they see but continuity is valued and encouraged.

Each session consists of 13 x 10 minute appointments.

Our morning sessions run from 830am and afternoon sessions from 230pm.

The practitioner would be expected to complete all associated admin relating to their patient list.

About us

The surgery is made up of 4 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs (of which you would be one) and 1 full time GP registrar.

The GP team are supported by:

  • ARRS staff as mentioned above
  • 3 experienced practice nurses, 3 HCAs
  • Highly skilled administrative team, secretaries, medicines manager, reception coordinator and practice manager.
