Job responsibilities

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team of experienced nurses and HCA. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and support to our patients.

The successful post holder will be responsible for undertaking a range of clinical treatment room duties to support the practice in providing high level patient care. Duties will include but are not limited to, BP checks, simple wound care and dressings, INR checks, removal of sutures, testing urine specimens, phlebotomy, NHS health checks, ECGs, ear irrigation, flu and B12 administration, support with the management of chronic disease clinics. The role will also involve some stock taking and ordering of certain clinical items of stock.

Training will be provided for in-house specific procedures, however previous experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant in a primary care setting is desirable.
