Job summary
We are looking for new GP Partners who will bring fresh ideas , enthusiasm and commitment to our partnership in southwark. You will join us in transforming how we deliver healthcare
There are exciting opportunities for leadership roles and projects both within Nexus and with partners locally in the wider healthcare community.
A GP partner provides strategic and operational leadership across Nexus. You will be the clinical leader at sites and across the organisation, hold shared responsibilities and will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract.
Main duties of the job
This role requires a minimum of 6 sessions per week. Currently the 9 GP partners all provide clinical sessions on site with 1-2 non-clinical sessions per week allocated to Nexus management and delivery of lead areas. The Medical Director/Chair has 3 management sessions. We plan to review this structure and lead areas with the appointment of new partners aligning organisational need, capabilities and areas of interest appropriately.
The partners share equally the overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of Nexus and provide clinical or management input as necessary to ensure delivery of the core PMS contract.
About us
Nexus Health Group was founded in August 2016 with the coming together of a number of long established, like-minded local NHS GP practices. We are the third largest provider of NHS Primary Care Services in England, serving a diverse list of approximately 78,000 patients from nine GP sites all based in North Southwark, London.
We are a well-recognised training organisation for GPs, nurses and allied health professionals.
Around 200 employees make up our multidisciplinary teams of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Paramedics, Physicians Associates, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams. We are focused on the development of our workforce and our services.
In addition to our clinical and administrative practice teams, we also have centralised back office functions providing finance, HR, administration, and data/IT support. Our organisation is led by our GP Partners and our Senior Management Team.
