This is a rare opportunity for a forward-thinking, strategic leader. We are looking for someone who can not only manage financial budgets and support income opportunities, but also drive cultural change, identify efficiencies, enable innovation and empower staff
You will be a core member of the practice leadership team, working directly with the GP partners and our experienced Practice manager
While experience in primary care or healthcare is welcome, it is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong people-management and financial backgrounds
This is a senior leadership role suited to a confident, capable business leader with proven qualifications who enjoys complexity, responsibility and the opportunity to shape how an organisation works
Interviews for this role will take place on Tuesday 28th April. The interview process consists of 3 parts on the day
a)A 1 hour assessment exercise where you will be given a series of information to process and analyse. From this info you will need to prepare a presentation with your recommendations to the Partners
b)A 1 hour interview with a panel of the 8 Partners
c)A 30 minute Presentation with your recommendations from the assessment exercise
Main duties of the job
As Business Manager, working closely with the GP partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the surgery. You will lead the strategic, operational, financial and organisational management of the practice.Providing strong Senior operational leadership across the practice
- Financial Management, budgeting, contracts and income optimisation
- Day to day accounting and invoice processing and monthly bank reconciliation using Xero accounting software
- Year End Accounts production in conjunction with the Practice accountants
- HR, workforce planning, staff development and performance
- Ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with legislation, NHS regulations, CQC standards and governance requirements and that this becomes a shared priority across the whole team.
- Building effective relationships with other external stakeholders, including but not limited to other surgeries in the Primary Care Network, the Integrated Care Board, other healthcare providers
